“Your past may be part of your story. It does not have to determine your future. Talents Unlocked is opening the stage for singers, rappers, and songwriters ready to show the world what they can do.”
Talents Unlocked — Official Mission Statement
Your past doesn’t disqualify your future.
Our mission is to look beyond the past and recognize the talent, potential, and future of every contestant.
Contestants will not be judged by the panel because of their crimes, criminal records, or past mistakes. They will be judged on their God-given talent, originality, preparation, performance, and artistic potential.
Talents Unlocked exists to create opportunities for people whose past circumstances or incarceration histories may have limited their access to traditional entertainment platforms. We believe a person’s past does not erase their gifts, their ability to grow, or their right to pursue a future in music.

The series
A stage, not a verdict.
Talents Unlocked is a reality music competition built for men and women who have been incarcerated and are ready to be seen for something other than their record.
Contestants sing, rap or write their way through a real season — a real stage, a real audience, and a chance to break free from the past by doing the thing they were made to do. The focus is never where someone has been. It is what they can do now.
The mission is on the screen in every episode — that a background does not define a future, and that talent is not cancelled by a mistake.

Who we’re looking for
Three lanes.One stage.
Singers, rappers and songwriters — this is a music competition, and nothing else is being cast. Every experience level. Trained, self-taught, or never been on a stage in your life: the audition is judged on the music, full stop.
- I
Singers
Lead vocals, background vocals, gospel, soul, R&B, country — any voice, any style. Bring one song that shows what yours can do.
- II
Rappers
Original bars, freestyle, trap, boom bap, conscious rap. Bring the verse you would want to be judged on.
- III
Songwriters
Original songs, hooks, lyrics and melodies. Perform your own work, or bring it to life with a track.
You do not need credits, training, or a following. You need a song — or the words for one — and the nerve to share it. If someone you know has both, send them this page.
